We are not just grapegrowers making a bit of wine. Two family members are professional marketers, others are in business administration and education, whilst Wayne has held senior management roles with major Australian companies, and consults in a range of business disciplines, including wine tourism. We understand business strategy and how to develop businesses, so we know if we develop the right products with enough stand-out differentiation and quality, and work hard, we will succeed. A great vineyard was the first step, and now we have a commitment to producing delightfully different wines.
We understand the ever growing number of young wine appreciators and how they are constantly seeking out of exciting new flavours. And we are boutique operators, keenly attuned to the need for having a point of difference in a ‘me too’ industry. A little ‘out there’ we are, and thats a positive when seeking to appeal to the market we are targeting.
We have been making wines for home and friends consumption for 5 years. Our first trophy was for an amatuer wine entered in our local show competition. This drove us to go further, and now commercial. Our first wines are receiving great panel reviews, have already gained a GOLD MEDAL, and we will be testing the trade’s views at a number of wine shows in 2013
We are Barossans and we have a long term family heritage attachment to our land. To have started from scratch, to have succeeded in the development of a vineyard, to have built an enviable name for consistent quality, and to have made some great wine, now marketing it, is a vision we are bringing to life.
Family is of utmost important to us. Our three children have grown up to be successful young adults, all with wonderful partners. They have been involved in the development of our vineyard and wines too. Hard work it is, but we enjoy each others company and have a lot of laughter at our frequent family BBQs at Roenfeldt Hill.
