Tasting notes for 2011 Gold Medal ZSGM

DSCN6870 compfoodies paradise barossa

George's on Waymouth - July 2012

Lifted and inviting intriguing aromatics of perfume, plum, spice, nuts, milk chocolate and red and black berries as well as lavender and violets.
Mouthfilling palate with solid intensity. Tannins are very fine and integrated, adding seamless structure.
Very long, lingering finish.
A stylish wine, bursting with flavour and complexity.
Ideal with a char grilled steak, lamb, goat, curries, spicy marinates and smoky, wood fired pizza.
Magnificent with double smoked ham and smallgoods, along with a cracked pepper cheese or vache curd
